General: Although there is as of yet no direct evidence linking this Henry C. Deputy to parents Sylvester A. & Lovina C. Deputy, we are inferring the relationship because:
1) Henry was born at a time when Sylvester & Lovina could have had children;
2) There is no other Henry identified in this family;
3) Henry's middle initial is 'C', which could match the maiden name of mother Lovina; and
4) Henry C. was identified as a shipbuilder that lived for several years in LaPorte County, Indiana at the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Parents Sylvester and Lovina as well as brother James H. all died and were buried in Michigan.
